Tatsunoko vs Capcom @ Evo

The news just keeps coming. Along side SF IV, and ST HD Remix, Capcom has graciously allowed Evo to be a test location for their newest game, Tatsunoko vs Capcom. This game is similar to the Marvel series with spectatular air combos, and fast paced action.

The world waits as we see if this game is even coming to the states, but for now, this is a great opportunity to get a first look at a unreleased game. Capcom will be taking feedback and will relay it to developers to make it the best game possible.

Hope to see all of you there!

Two Huge Events Happening in July

First up is Evo South America taking place July 19-20th.

The South American players have teamed up with EVO to run their premier event in Brazil.

EVO SOUTH AMERICA will have many of the best players in the continent showing their skills and competing for the opportunity to play at this year's Evolution World Finals in Las Vegas. Players from several South American countries have already confirmed their attendance, and the event promises to deliver an unforgettable experience and put South America definitely on the fighting game map for years to come.

As the largest open fighting game competition in the world, the Evo Championship Series has a tradition of been open to players of all countries. We believe that anybody should have the chance to step up and try your luck against the best in the world. And now we're giving that chance to a broader array of players from around the world.

Take a look here for more information (in Portuguese).

The very next week will be Battle of Destiny taking place on July 26-27th.

UK based tournament organisation Neo Empire are running what promises to be one of the biggest and best tournaments ever seen in Europe. They have teamed up with Capcom Europe and EVO to put on a tournament which will see the best players in Europe duke it out to find the best 4 players to send to Las Vegas, who will then represent Europe at Evolution World in August. On top of this, they are also offering two incredibly cool opportunities at the event. The completed Arcade version of Street Fighter IV will be showcased at the event, running on back-to-back Vewlix cabinets. And if that wasn’t enough, the event will also showcase the latest build of Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo: HD Remix running on Xbox 360 consoles provided by Microsoft. Both SF IV and HD Remix will be on freeplay over the entire the event, surely making this an event that no European player can afford to miss out on!

They are also promising players at the event a chance to take on a mysterious "new challenger" as advertised on the Battle of Destiny site. They haven’t revealed who it is just yet, but judging by the silhouetted figure, it looks like European players will be getting the opportunity to challenge one of the living legends of the Fighting Games World!

The Final Game

We know there are alot of deserving games out there, and we wish we could include all of them, but we can't. The 6th and final game for 2008 is none other than Capcom vs SNK 2. This fighter brings all the craziness from two seperate games into one jam packed fighter.

Tekken 5 Returns!

Welcome Back Marvel!

Marvel vs. Capcom 2 is one of the craziest twitchy fighters out there. Last year's finals were incredibly exciting, with Yipes upsetting the overwhelming favorite Justin Wong to take the title. This year's Marvel tournament should be wide open, and yes, expect the mad craziness comebacks once again.
